Torn between duty and play, Wawa’s artistry is an ongoing healing process. From words to threads to pixels, she processes mediums as dialects. Daughter and family translator, she studies computational arts with a minor in anthropology at Concordia University (Tiotià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal) and Tai Chi Chuan (Yang) under the lineage of master Grace Chui. While feeling fruitless in her tai chi apprenticeship, her work fights towards her ancestors’ utopia with what she believes to be human’s best weapon: empathy.
Le travail de Wawa est un perpétuel processus entre raison et rêve. Aînée et traductrice de famille, elle étudie en arts numériques et mineure en anthropologie à l'Université Concordia (Tiotià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal) et le Tai Chi Chuan (Yang) sous la lignée de maître Grace Chui. Des mots aux pixels aux fils, ses médiums sont idiomatiques. Entre-temps, elle peaufine sa maîtrise ce qu'elle conçoit être l'outil le plus puissant à disposition : l'empathie.
